Itinerary
Day 1 : Cochin to Munnar
Arrive Cochin Airport, our executive meet you on arrival and explain
the tour to you, later drive to Munnar (135 kms / 4 hrs). Munnar is
one of the most famous hill station situated on the Western Ghats at
the height of 1600 meters above sea level. It is essentially a tea
town miles of unending tea plantation can be seen here. Enroute
see Cheeyappara, Valara water falls and Karadipara View Point.
Arrive and check into the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure / visit
the nearby tea plantations. Overnight at hotel
Day 2 : Munnar
After breakfast proceed for Munnar sightseeing. Morning visit
Eravikulam National Park which is also known as Rajamala, the
natural habitat of Nilgiri Thar. Nilgiri Thar can be observed very
closely here. Later visit a tea factory and tea museum. Afternoon
visit Mattupetty dam, Echo point and the Kundala Lake. Boating
facilities are available at Mattupetty Dam. Evening free for
shopping. Overnight at hotel
Day 3 : Munnar to Thekkady
After breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Thekkady (110 kms /
3.30 hrs) which is also known as Periyar. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary
is one of the world's most fascinating natural wildlife reserves.
Enroute visit Lock Heart Gap, Signal view Point, Anayirangal Dam,
Spice Plantations etc. Arrive and check in to hotel. Afternoon
enjoys a boating at man made lake and this is the only wild life
sanctuary in India where you can have the unique experience of
viewing wildlife at close from the safety of a boat on the lake. The
probable animals to watch are Bison, Gaur, Wild Elephants, Sambhar
and a wide variety of birds. Evening free for shopping. Overnight at
hotel.
Day 4 : Thekkady to Kumarakom
Morning after breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Kumarakom
(145 kms / 4.30 hrs) the backwater destination of Kerala. Arrive and
check in to Hotel. Afternoon visit the famous bird sanctuary.
Evening go for a sunset cruise. Overnight stay at Hotel
Day 5 : Kumarakom to Cochin Departure
Morning after breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Cochin (90
kms / 2 hrs) if time permits do Cochin sight seeing visit St.
Francis Church, Fort Cochin, Chinese fishing nets, Jewish Synagogue,
Jew Street, Dutch Palace etc. later drop at Cochin Airport.
